Fira Sans and FF Meta
Typeface analysis and book design in a collaborative print project.
Project
Concept and execution
Together with Florian Kiefer, I conceived and wrote a book examining and analysing the typefaces Fira Sans and FF Meta.
Insights
Work and results
This was our first major project requiring a substantial amount of work.
The assignment taught us a great deal about typography, printing and book design.
Fira was designed by Erik Spiekermann and Carrois Type Design for Mozilla and is based on Erik Spiekermann’s FF Meta typeface.
